Authors and organizations will have the opportunity to “adopt” a classroom, grade, or school in an underserved community and donate a book to each child in the adopted class, grade or school to read in class and then keep and bring home with them. Authors also can participate in a virtual school visit/reading so the students have the opportunity to meet the authors once the books have been received. In return, authors will receive thank you cards and pictures for the author to share across social channels.

Authors4Education has relationships with teachers and school districts across the country and is able to facilitate the match and logistics (including releases for pictures as needed, donation receipts for tax deductions, virtual or in-person visits, mentorship opportunities, and more).

This is a simple, straightforward way to get books into the hands of kids who need them most, along with provide children with access to role models who can inspire, answer questions, and even mentor students, depending on the interest of each particular author.
